Managing Director with more than three decades of experience across civil engineering and construction.Known for a practical, grounded approach and a strong focus on delivering results.Passionate about building reliable teams, safe environments, and lasting client relationships.
Brian Guthrie
Commercial Manager
Commercial Manager with over 25 years of experience delivering successful projects across complex commercial environments. Proven track record in cost control, contract negotiation, and driving profitability while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Outside of the office I’m a proud dad to my daughter and border terrier, a regular at live music gigs and always up for a game of chess.
Jason Flockart
Estimator
I have been a part of the commercial team at Menzies since January 2021 in my current role as Estimator. I have 8 years of experience preparing accurate cost estimates across a range of projects with a strong ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce competitive and commercially sound submissions. Detail-oriented and collaborative, with a proven track record of supporting successful bids and project delivery.

Project Engineer
I have worked at Thomas Menzies for 36 years, starting out as a Trainee Setting Out Engineer, currently a Project Engineer responsible for the Framework contract we have with The Mining Remediation Authority.
Pauline Bartle
Senior Accounts Clerk
I joined the company on the 13th April 1998 and I don’t know where the time has gone. My duties are processing the Purchase Invoices, switchboard and reception. My partner Peter and I have a caravan which is pitched up between March and October at Aberfeldy Caravan Park so it’s good to get away for the weekend and odd week or so to totally chill and see different scenery.
Rebekah O’Donnell
Trainee Quantity Surveyor
I am the Trainee Quantity Surveyor at Thomas Menzies and have been part of the team since 2024. As part of the commercial team my role includes cost management, valuations, measurements, and wider commercial administration. I’m currently completing my BSc in Quantity Surveying at Edinburgh Napier University. Outside of work, I’m a PADI-qualified scuba diver and enjoy a spirited night out dancing with the girls.
Robbie Birrell
Plant Manager
I have been involved in Agriculture/Construction/Landscaping for most of my life, driving all kinds of plant and lorries. I have been Plant manager here at Menzies since 2020 and completed my transport manager qualification in 2024. Away from work my hobbies are cricket and flyfishing and fly tying. In addition, I am currently the President of the famous Freuchie Cricket Club.
Ryan Dunn
Works Manager
My role at Menzies is of works manager, which involves overseeing construction operations within the business and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard from the planning stage to completion. I have been in the role since the beginning of 2025 and come from a strong civil engineering background with a lot of existing skills that have helped me transition into this more managerial role, alongside the training and experience at my disposal within the company being of great benefit. Outside of work I like to keep fit by playing football, getting out in nature walking my dog and spending time with my partner, newborn daughter and my pets.
Scott Campbell
Financial Controller
I joined the company in 2024, bringing a broad background in commercial roles across a range of industries. Alongside overseeing financial performance, I apply this experience to support and lead several important transformation initiatives. When not at work I’m likely to be at home with my wife, dog and 3 cats.
